It had been 20 years since I visited Itatiaia National Park. Last time I’ve been there I was still a kid, and I can’t even remember how did it go. At that time I didn’t even dream about being a photographer.
Itatiaia is the first Brazilian National Park, and a mandatory passage for any outdoor photographer from the region of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. Even being some friend’s favorite place, staying only 5 hours from home, and featuring overwhelming landscape, I never managed to visit the place since I started photographing.
But this week I redeemed from this flaw, and I spent two days in the park, just to realize how much I lost during all these years. From now on, Itatiaia has a new visitor – a frequent one, I hope.
