6:30 a.m., and Dutch wakeboarder Duncan Zuur strikes again. After Venice and Amsterdam, the athlete rips the waters of the reflecting pool of the National Congress in Brasilia, before the security guards took notice. For me, a tricky job. I was there for one shot, and a unique chance to do it. The picture would be shown in the main newspapers and Internet portals in the country. I designed the whole picture with the Congress, including the reflection in the water throughout the building, and asked the athlete to surf near me, so that the image was made possible. Otherwise he would be very small in the photo. Since ‘close’ is relative, Duncan was far away, and the picture did not come out as expected. But anyway, the photo was taken and fulfilled its role.
